Out of Sight Vids

Out of Site Vids posts pics and comments about Vintage Music Videos from the 60s and 70s

Ever wondered how people listened to music before Ipods could play QuickTime movies?

Check this site out. Maybe point him to your favourite clips from before you were born.

“Little Willy” was the actually the fourth hit by this hard-rocking bubblegum band, but musically it was a new sort of victory. It was also their breakthrough hit in the USA when released there on the Bell label, who were getting rich at the time from all those David Cassidy hits. I’m not sure what television show this vid comes from, but it might also be Disco (72), too. It seems that there may actually be live elements to this vid; the guitar sounds quite a bit more aggressive and is louder in the mix than in the hit single version. I think this “performance” shadows the hit version for sheer power.

Costume party original

Vagina Lady and Me
Originally uploaded by winona.

So, Iike, I went to this, like, costume party and, like, I spilled my cocktail on this guy's new jacket, and so he calls me a cvnt and, like, so I said, like, duuuude... I ain't no cvnt, I'm just wearing a costume.

Get a dog up ya

Or a horse for that matter.

A horse is a horse, of course, of course.

But not when the horse is located in Lismore, or is a crazy doped up surfer-horse. Know what I mean? No, me neither.

Enough of that. I think I saw this movie...

It's not size, it's how you use it

A survey of more than 1,000 men in India has concluded that condoms made according to international sizes are too large for a majority of Indian men.

Read more at the BBC

It seems the problem is that Indian men are too shy to ask for small or medium when down at the local convenience store.  The scary thing is that only half of them find the Super-Extra-Large size too small.

drink up and get high

Ecstasy is rapidly broken down by the liver but about 60% enters the urine unchanged. The urine could be drunk to recycle it, in the same way that Siberian tribesmen drink each other's urine after eating magic mushrooms. This is known in most circles as 'desperate'.

Carob Vs Chocolate

Although this product has a slightly different
taste than chocolate, it has only one-third the
calories (total 1595 calories per pound), is
virtually fat-free (chocolate is half fat), is rich in
pectin, is nonallergenic, has abundant protein,
and has no oxalic acid, which interferes
with absorption of calcium.
Thats why its a favourite among Truck drivers

know by now that chocolate is toxic to dogs.

escalated again after some Robbie Williams

But thanks to the quick thinking of one of

his friends by saying "did you all get your

was quickly diffused.

Dear Comrades

After the recent spate of biased and mischievous reporting by the colonialist foreign press, I have ultimately decided to reveal to you, the honest and hard-working citizens of Zimbabwe, a little more of Mugabe - The Man.

I know you love your leader as much as you love your country. I know you deserve to see what kind of man I am. To those of you that already know me, this will simply be a joyous refresher of your cherished memories of me. To those with the still unfulfilled desire to know me better, I welcome you to an intimate glimpse of Mugabe - The Man.

The Race Card

At the 2001 Australian Liberals' election victory party, there was an unexpected appearance by a key election player - the Race Card. As the Race Card (dressed in a red lycra devil suit) was being ejected, he yelled: 'I've been with [John Howard] the whole campaign and now you're kicking me out. No respect. I tell you what, they just use you.'

Our Prime Minister, John Howard, characterized Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein as a mass murderer, torturer and persecutor of his people who must be removed so that his people can be freed from tyranny. Yet when Iraqi people have sought to escape Saddam's Iraq by seeking refuge in Australia, the Howard Government has locked them up or turned back the leaking boats that brought them.

Bordertown USA

On average more than 3 women a month have gone missing or been murdered in Ciudad Juárez and Chihuahua areas in Mexico. That’s bad, and people can do something about it from their lounge rooms and offices by going to this Amnesty website.

As usual, the first steps are about raising awareness and putting the issue in front of people. And apparently everyone’s favourite table dancer is now embarking on a film called “Bordertown” about these poor women.

Strangely the people making it are downplaying the political side of the story; From J.Lo’s website comes this: "It's a thriller, a drama, a story about people. It's not a political piece at all," says Nava, the film's writer and director. "That stuff is best left for books and essays and newspapers.”

It’s strange how people seem embarrassed about saying important things and doing socially valuable work. Or maybe it‘s just that in the US being political is seen as being corrupt. Maybe it’s time we take politics back from the politicians.

Anyhow – it’s terrible that this situation has gone on for more than a decade.

When the people responsible are eventually found out it’s gonna make a nightmarish TV movie of the week. At least way too scary for me.

Summary; Racism is about power and language is a tool of power (aka a powerful tool.)  Be aware when using it.

Joke of thye day... apparently

John Howard is on a skiing trip - Christmas holidays, Aspen, the whole thing.

He's coming down the slopes and then in the snow written - obviously someone has relieved themselves in the snow - and written, "John Howard is a dork".

Well, John stops in front of it and looks at it absolutely fuming and says to the secret service guys who are sort of shadowing him while he's on his holiday in Aspen: "Look into this. I want to know who did it, under what circumstances." They say, "Yes sir" and he went off skiing.

That night the forensic guys have taken a sample of the thing in the snow. They go to him, "Well, Mr Prime Minister, we've got good news and bad news.

"We've tested the urine samples and we've come to a conclusion. What do you want - good or bad news?"

And he said, "Well, what's the good news?"

And they said, "Well, it's Kim Beazley's urine".

And he said, "Well, what's the bad news?"

And they said, "Well, it was in Janette's handwriting".

Go for Gosford

Milton Friedman

This blog tickled my fancy with this quote;

"Economist Milton Friedman has passed away. In honor of his strong support for laissez faire economics, I say we leave his body where it is and let the market bury it."

in the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility

Did you know that Hitler developed his immigration policies for Nazi Germany from a comparison of Germany ad the USA? It was the USA that introduced him to the slave class, to refusing immigration to people who were ill or economically unviable, or due to their religion or race.

Mein Kampf should be compulsory reading these days.

After all - and this is no joke - we westerners (westies?) are adopting more and more of his policies every year.
